What a Buzzing Success – Bee Fest 2025!

What an excellent turnout at Bee Fest 2025 – thank you to everyone who joined us for a weekend full of bee magic, learning and community spirit!
Over 450 attendees came through our gates to explore, learn, taste, create and connect. From engaging workshops to fascinating bee talks, the event was truly buzzing with excitement!
We were honoured to welcome Deputy Mayor Paul Trendall, who took the time to chat with every stallholder and show his support for our local bee-loving community.
Highlights of the Weekend (26-27 July):
- Bee talks and honey tasting sessions in both the Barn and the main house.
- The always popular Observation Hive, where visitors got a close-up view of the majestic Queen Bee, nursing bees, tiny larvae and the tireless worker bees in action.
- A range of free workshops, including:
- Flower bomb making
- Wax candle rolling
- Badge Making
- Beeswax wrap rafting

OVER 250 PEOPLE ATTENDED OUR BEE FEST – WBG’s yearly festival turned into a great success. This year our Bee Fest was opened by the Milton Keynes Mayor and Mayoress. They both showed great interest in our bees and honey production; so much so they even attended one of our honey extractions at a later

In August we collected the supers that were full of capped honey. This was our 4th and final extraction of 2023. All of this year’s bee-keeping course students have been able to attend at least one extraction. Our teacher and expert Mike Bensley shows us the techniques and then we all work together to extract
